Danielle

Danielle has a degree and PhD in Biochemistry, both from the University of Manchester. She also holds an MBA from the Open University.

Danielle has worked at Â鶹ÊÓƵ since 2013, joining first as the Science and Grants Manager, and then holding the position of Head of Scientific Services and UK Grants from 2017-2022 before becoming the Head of Research Operations in 2022. Before joining the Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Danielle worked as a research assistant, scientific editor and grants advisor.

As Head of Research Operations, Danielle is responsible for the operational management of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ's research. Alongside the Chief Operating Officer, Â鶹ÊÓƵ Director and other stakeholders, Danielle establishes and implements frameworks to develop and manage the performance of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s research operations, ensuring successful delivery of Â鶹ÊÓƵ science, including Â鶹ÊÓƵ Strategic Programme outcomes funded by BBSRC. This includes being the operational lead for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ's science facilities, financial and corporate planning & reporting, coordinating science capital equipment, project management of onboarding and offboarding processes for research group leads and scientific facility heads, knowledge management of research outputs, and overseeing the research elements of the BBSRC Core Capability Grant (CCG).

Outside of work, Danielle loves running, and is a member of the Sawston Let’s Run Girls club. She also enjoy cooking and says that her collection of cook books is far too big.
